2022 NFL Training Camp News, Notes and Live Updates
J.K. Dobbins Activated Off the PUP List
After missing out on OTAs and the start of training camp, Ravens starting running back J.K. Dobbins is officially off the PUP list. Ian Rapoport mentions that he will be brought along "slowly". With being brought along that way it is assumed he won't be playing in any preseason game snaps anytime soon. His coming back will be huge for the Ravens' run game as a whole, and his health is critical to the bigger picture for the team this year. After missing 2021 with a torn ACL stemming from the preseason last year, look for Dobbins to come out the gates firing on all cylinders for week one barring any setbacks.
#Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins passed his physical and was activated from the PUP list. He’ll start slow, with a chance to play in Week 1 if all progresses well.

Baker Mayfield On Pace to Start
Reports out of training camp are signaling that Baker Mayfield may be on pace to be the Panthers' starter. According to NFL Network, despite Matt Rhule giving all the quarterbacks in camp a fair share of reps with the first team, Mayfield appears to be the guy. While Sam Darnold has played the safest out of the bunch, Mayfield has proven to be more of a playmaker than anyone else. The only thing holding Darnold in the race reportedly is his knowledge of the playbook. That gap may close, though, as training camp progresses and the first preseason game rolls around.

James Robinson Returns to Camp
The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to have a positive training camp. They have seen second-year running back Travis Etienne bounce back from injury, and now they may have another running back to add to the rotation. James Robinson was seen finally doing work in position drills after missing some time. Coming back from an Achilles injury is always tricky business, but it seems Robinson has things figured out. He and Etienne, if healthy, will be one of the better running back duos in the league. Not to mention the weight they take off of Trevor Lawrence in the process.

Tyler Linderbaum Limps Off Field
The Baltimore Ravens first-round draft selection, center Tyler Linderbaum, limped off the field in practice Thursday afternoon. The offensive lineman went down to the ground but was able to walk off the field under his own power. He is currently getting his left leg checked out by the medical staff in Baltimore.
Ravens first-round pick Tyler Linderbaum left the field with a trainer about an hour into practice. The rookie center went down to the ground during a team drill.
It looked like lower left leg for Linderbaum, who limped after getting up but then walked on his own power.

George Pickens turning heads at camp
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver George Pickens out of Georgia continues to stand out at training camp. Going into camp, coach Mike Tomlin labeled the second-round pick as a “raw talent.” Now, Pickens is taking reps with the starters and receiving high praise from his teammates. “I think he’s gonna be the best rookie receiver in the NFL,” said Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool. After losing JuJu Smith-Schuster this offseason, Pickens has the opportunity to fill a void in the Steelers’ wide receiver room. Adding Pickens to the young core of Johnson, Claypool, Freiermuth, and Harris will be beneficial to whoever wins the quarterback battle.

Marshon Lattimore leaves practice with trainer
The New Orleans Saints' Pro Bowl cornerback left practice early today with an undisclosed injury. He was able to walk off the field under his own power but was accompanied by a trainer as he left. Lattimore, a 2017 first-round pick out of Ohio State, is in the first year of a new five-year, 97.6-million dollar deal. The Saints will be relying on their defense heavily this year, with uncertainty surrounding the status of star running back Alvin Kamara and the departure of All-Pro left tackle Terron Armstead.

Is Matthew Stafford's arm injured?
The Los Angeles Rams’ decision to hold their starting quarterback out of team drills has led to questions about his injury status. Matthew Stafford is coming off a standout season, headlined by his first Super Bowl victory. If the Rams are going to compete for a second straight championship, they will need their star QB to be available and comfortable.
