Eagles-Seahawks Trade

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for DB Ugo Amadi. This move may prove to benefit both players, as neither had promising odds of making their former teams’ 53-man rosters. This is a common practice for teams to trade players on the bubble of making the team. This gives players a fresh start, and perhaps something clicks with the new team. If not, and they are getting cut, it takes some of the edge off to release a player that you did not draft.

Bucs Sign Carl Nassib

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reached a one-year agreement with defensive end Carl Nassib. Nassib rejoins the Bucs after spending the last two seasons with the Raiders. Nassib’s last stint in Tampa Bay may have been his best. He recorded 65 tackles and 12.5 sacks in his two years there. Many have the Buccaneers as the favorites to win the NFC South, and as a legitimate Super Bowl contender this season. The addition of Nassib will certainly improve those odds.
