2023 NFL Free Agency Buzz: Updates on Player Signings, Restructures, Franchise Tags

Campbell Meeting with Falcons

Calais Campbell will meet with the Atlanta Falcons this week, NFL Media reported. The 15-year veteran defensive tackle was released by the Baltimore Ravens this offseason.

Despite his age, Campbell produced a solid season in 2022. He finished with seven tackles for loss and six sacks in just 588 snaps. The Ravens did leave the door open for Campbell to re-sign with them, but it looks like Atlanta is in the driver's seat for now.

In another move, the team reinstated DT Eddie Goldman from the reserve/retired list, The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov reported. Goldman signed with the team approximately eight months ago, the retired.

Cowboys Add Jones in Backfield

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a one-year deal with free-agent running back Ronald Jones, the team announced.

The move comes a week after the team released Ezekiel Elliott. Jones will share rushing duties with Tony Pollard, who is on a $10.091 million franchise tag.

The team also re-signed Dante Fowler Jr. on a one-year deal, theScore reported. Fowler recorded six sacks, seven tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

Giants Signing DB McCain

Slot cornberback Bobby McCain is signing a one-year contract with the New York Giants, ESPN reported. McCain, an eight-year veteran, played for the Washington Commanders the past two seasons after six years with the Miami Dolphins. He made 76 tackles and broke up five passes in 2022.

McKenzie Signs with Colts

Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie is signing with the Indianapolis Colts. McKenzie was cut by the Bills last week after playing a significant role in their offense last season.

The slot receiver recorded 42 receptions for 423 yards and four touchdowns this past season.

Cardinals Sign Pair

Defensive end L.J. Collier will sign a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov reported.

The Cardinals also will re-sign CB Antonio Hamilton, the team announced.

Morrow Will Join Eagles

Linebacker Nicholas Morrow has agreed to a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, ESPN reported. With the Chicago Bears last season, Morrow recorded 116 tackles, including 11 for loss, in 17 starts.

Bullard Back With Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have agreed on terms to re-sign defensive end Jonathan Bullard, NFL Media reported. Bullard appeared in 12 games last season.

Dixon Will Return To Broncos

The Denver Broncos signed punter Riley Dixon, the team announced.

Dixon, originally by the Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft, spent the first two seasons of his career with Denver. He moved to the New York Giants from 2018-21 and was with the Los Angeles Rams last season.
