Dupree Visits Steelers

Free agent pass rusher Bud Dupree will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers, ESPN reported. Dupree spent the first six seasons of his career with the Steelers, recording 42 sacks during that span.

In March 2021, Dupree signed an $82.5 million contract with the Tennessee Titans, as they looked to capitalize off a 12-5 season. However, Dupree struggled to stay on the field, playing in just 22 games and recording seven sacks in his two seasons with the Titans.

The Steelers are coming off a 9-8 campaign that saw them miss the playoffs. If Dupree goes back to Pittsburgh, he'll join stars T.J. Watt and Cameron Heyward on the defensive line.

49ers Acquire K Gonzalez from Panthers

Rather than being released by the Carolina Panthers, as it appeared yesterday, kicker Zane Gonzalez has been dealt to the San Francisco 49ers for conditional draft considerations in 2025, NFL Media reported.

Carolina was prepared to move on from Gonzalez after inking Eddy Piniero to a two-year deal on Thursday. Gonzalez went 20-for-22 on field goal attempts in 2021 for Carolina, but suffered a season-ending injury during the 2022 preseason, opening the door for Piniero to take over as the Panthers' kicker.
