Tom Brady’s retirement this week wasn’t a matter of a decline in ability, leadership or competitiveness, his Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterbacks coach, Clyde Christensen, says. In fact, he thought the quarterback, who was third in the NFL in passing yards (4,694), might play one more season. Instead, Brady chose to retire now, and do right by his family.
