Daily Fantasy: Week 8 Strategy Analyzer

Welcome to the Daily Fantasy Strategy Analyzer article for Week 7 of the NFL season. This week shapes up as a potentially difficult one, as some high octane offenses aren't on the main slate. However, we think there are a few good stacks to utilize this weekend on a slate with few high-powered offenses.

Top Stacks

Josh Allen + Stefon Diggs

With a lot of big-name quarterbacks not on Sunday's slate, Josh Allen looks like the top dog. He's averaging 28.2 DraftKings points per game, and the Bills throw the ball at an extremely high rate. Allen also provides a lot of rushing upside, as he has two rushing touchdowns on the season, and has topped 35 rushing yards in four of six games. Allen has dominated the Dolphins so far in his career, and that should continue this week.

The Dolphins play man coverage at one of the highest rates in the league, which Stefon Diggs has historically feasted upon. He hasn't really had a "slate-breaking" game yet, and one might be coming for him. Diggs should see some more touchdowns, as he only has two on the year despite being tied for the league lead with 16 red-zone targets. You can throw in Cole Beasley or Emmanuel Sanders to this stack as well, but it isn't required. This stack won't be sneaky, but it has some high upside.

Tom Brady + Chris Godwin

Despite supposedly facing a tough matchup, the Buccaneers passing attack looks like a solid stacking option this weekend. The Bucs pass at one of the highest rates in the entire league, and the Saints have a stout run defense. It seems like a game, like many of theirs, where Tom Brady is slinging the ball. Brady has 40+ pass attempts in five of seven games, with two games of 50+ attempts. Brady is averaging 27.1 DraftKings points per game, and Sunday may give him another shot at a great performance.

With Marshon Lattimore likely shadowing Mike Evans, and the Saints being very stout against tight ends, it is likely that Brady hones in on Chris Godwin. Godwin leads the team in red-zone targets with 16, tying him for first in the league. Despite all the red zone targets, Godwin has only caught three touchdowns on the year. Godwin is due for positive regression, and he's been Brady's favorite target. This passing stack shouldn't see too much ownership on Sunday.
