Ben Wolbransky

Ben Wolbransky is a data scientist with a passion for sports analytics. Wolbransky is also a featured writer for BettingPros.

Growing up, Ben loved sports but wasn’t very good at them. Once introduced to the NFLfastR package (formerly NFLscrapr), Ben realized his passion for sport science and began to build projections for fantasy football. 

With the legalization of sports betting in New Jersey, Wolbransky built a successful NFL betting model and would take the subway to New Jersey from his Philadelphia apartment to legally place bets every weekend. Sports betting was legalized in Pennsylvania, but now Wolbransky splits time between PA and Florida, where sports betting has yet to be legalized.

Wolbransky has his Masters of Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, exploring the outdoors with loved ones and playing fetch with his dog TJ.
