Bills Sign Josh Norman

The Buffalo Bills signed veteran cornerback Josh Norman.

Norman is entering his 12th NFL season and spent the final two games of last season with the Carolina Panthers. He was with the Bills in 2020 and also previously was with coach Sean McDermott during his best years with the Panthers.

Buffalo recently lost Tre’Davious White to a torn Achilles and Norman should come in and provide depth.

Jets OL Alijah Vera-Tucker Tears Achilles

New York Jets guard Alijah Vera-Tucker suffered a torn Achilles during Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos and will miss the remainder of the season.

A first-round pick in 2021, Vera-Tucker has been the most consistent offensive lineman for the Jets and has been shuffled around from guard to tackle as injuries have piled up on the offensive line. Coach Robert Saleh talked about keeping Vera-Tucker at right tackle permanently because he had played well there.

Max Mitchell and Billy Turner are the internal options to replace Vera-Tucker, while free agent La’El Collins is also available.

Last season, Vera-Tucker suffered a season-ending triceps injury, which also happened in Denver. — 3:35 p.m.

Lions CB Emmanuel Moseley Tears ACL

Detroit Lions CB Emmanuel Moseley suffered a torn right ACL during Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers and will miss the remainder of the season. Moseley was playing in his first game this season after suffering a torn left ACL last season, also against the Panthers.

Detroit signed Moseley this past offseason to a one-year, $6 million contract after he spent the first five years of his career with the San Francisco 49ers. — 11:00 a.m.
