Dolphins Place De’Von Achane On IR

The Miami Dolphins have placed RB De’Von Achane on injured reserve because of a knee injury sustained Sunday against the New York Giants. The third-round rookie had an impressive performance in that game, running for 151 yards and scoring a touchdown on 11 carries. That marked his third consecutive game with over 100 rushing yards and a touchdown. He currently ranks second in the NFL with 460 rushing yards, trailing only Christian McCaffrey.

Achane will miss at least the next four games. Miami designated RB Jeff Wilson Jr. to return from IR, and he could be activated as early as this week. — 1:30 p.m.

The Indianapolis Colts have placed QB Anthony Richardson on injured reserve because of a shoulder injury suffered Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Richardson was diagnosed with an AC Joint sprain and will miss at least the next four games. The earliest he can return is Week 11 against the New England Patriots in Germany.

The Colts will turn to Gardner Minshew with Richardson out. Minshew has appeared in all five games and has completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 553 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Sam Ehlinger will be the backup, and the Colts also signed Kellen Mond to the practice squad. — 10:15 a.m.
