2025 NFL Draft: Underclassmen Declaration Tracker
The list of eligible prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft is finally coming together.
While it's never totally clear what the timeline is for underclassmen to declare, the official list of players who declared was released on Jan. 16. Players had to officially declare before the Jan. 15 deadline. That came after the "soft" deadline that required underclassmen to accept invites to college all-star games, including the Senior Bowl, on Jan. 6.
Players from Ohio State and Notre Dame will be given an extra week to make their decision following the national championship, with a deadline of Jan. 24 to declare.
Because of the new era of college football, including an expanded 12-team playoff and NIL money going to players, the number of underclassmen declaring for the draft continues to plummet. A note from Pewter Report states that this year's number of underclassmen in the draft is nearly half of what it was in 2021, going from 130 down to 67.
That lack of underclassmen has hit certain positions particularly hard. Players like Carson Beck and Garrett Nussmeier returning to school has weakened the quarterback class. At the same time, the wide receiver position features just six underclassmen declaring after years of double-digit juniors and redshirt sophomores at wideout going pro.
Regardless, teams still have draft picks to make in Green Bay from April 24 through 26. It's not as strong as last year's draft class, which looks like it could be an all-time great one with the impact rookies have had this season, but there are bound to be dozens of players who end up having great careers.
With that in mind, let's dive into every underclassman who has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
